I was looking at the 380 W Tagan PSU (TG380) at ajump for 55 bucks, and i read tagan was a good company and i might get it. Now, i was wondering if there was another choice around this price range that would be equally as good or better?
 
Well, you could get a nice Fortron unit for that price that will easily pace or out-do the tagan. Either, they're good units
 
Fortrons have proven stability and reliability and cost similarly to the Tagan line. Nonetheless, all signs point to Tagan as a maker of solid power supplies. If I were in your shoes I would go with the Fortron simply because it has already proven that you can depend on them. I doubt you would have much trouble with the Tagan, though.
