I bought this PSU at Newegg and the main ATX cable is missing a wire. I found this image on google and it is pin 18 the white wire -5VDC.

It's for my HTPC which I sold the MOBO for and I'm getting a new one so I have not used this yet. will it still work and not fry my New Nforce 2 Mobo? Thanks

It could be because that's a SFX PSU and not a ATX PSU. I'm not sure if the pin counts would be different but they could be. My guess would be that the system would be fine without it.

Is there a wire hanging around where it simply fell out or anything like that?

Although it is still part of the ATX standard, the -5v rail isn't really used much anymore, so your nForce2 will function fine. If you tried to throw that onto say an older ATX board, like a Slot 1 P2 board, you might have some problems.
