might seam silly but I cant figure out what kind of psu to get for the following computer:

Asus P8P67 EVO Motherboard, Socket 1155, Intel P67
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3 GHz, Socket 1155
Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9, 2x4GB, DDR3-1600, PC3-12800, CL9, DIMM
MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC, GeForce GTX 560 Ti Video Card, 1024MB, DDR5, PCIe-16, SLI ready

need something that will last a few years and have room for 4 Hard drives
and a DVD/blue ray drive

I'm only just getting back into nerding about computer hardware and I can't remember how to figure out how meny watts I'll need to power all that ,ideal price max of ~$150 usd.

You don't need a 150$ PSU for that system..

450W is you're not adding a second graphic card, 600W if you do intend to SLI.

My suggestion if you're buying from newegg, Lepa G500 for single card or Lepa G700 for dual card.
 
eventually yes i plan on going sli and in NZ a average psu can run about $300-350 witch comes to about $150usd >.<

Link the shop/s you intend to buy it from and your budget, this way you'll get the best suggestions..
 
edit: seems I misread the review sorry

The thing that puts me off that corsair is while it's nominally a 600W unit it only has 480W on the 12V rail. That strikes me as a bit low for a SLI setup. You might just about get away with it but you would be right on the edge.
 
modular option -> Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 600W
non modular option -> FSP Aurum 700W

If the above two units are too expensive the Antec HCG 620 or Antec EarthWatts Green 650 would work very well also but you'll have to use Molex to PCIe adapters for the second graphics card because they both come with only two PCIe connectors.

The above suggested Antec TruePowerNew 650W would be an excellent choice too but seems to be unavailable in both shops.

Forget the Corsair CX 600, it lacks the 12v amperage to support your intended setup.
