i am in the process of upgrading my system to this below, minus the hd's. Well i am unsure if my current psu will power it, it is a 550w antec true(i added a picture cause im not sure if that is enough info)
dsc02132.jpg

amd x3 720
xfx 4870 1gb
GIGABYTE AMD 785G HDMI ATX
1x 160gb ide seagate hd
1x74gb wd raptor hd
4gb corsair ram

The old Antec Truepower PSUs are built with low-quality capacitors which are prone to failure in normal-heat conditions. I wouldn't recommend it, since even if your PSU is still fine at the moment, the amount of heat you'll be producing will probably hasten its death by quite a bit. If you're on a low budget, take a look at something like the Corsair CX400 to power your PC.

cool, thanks for the help, id rather not chance it and ruin the hardware

newegg has some good sales on the corsairs and the pc power and cooling psu's get a decent 600w+ to play it safe incase you want to crossfire or something in the future.
