A friend of mine wants to have a cd duplicator built for him. He owns a small record store and some of the local artists in town come to him to have thier cd's made there. He already owns one but these units can get expensive so he's trying to save a couple of dollars. The question I have is could i simply wire a case power switch to jump an atx psu to run the system? The controller panel for the duplicator uses a molex connector and doesn't require a mobo to run. Thanks for any input! :D

connect switch leads to green and black wires (pins 13 and 14) on the mobo connector, and the PSU should start up when the switch is closed.

Would the same be true for shutting it off? I know from reading the forums that thr psu can be jumped on but I've never read if the opposite is true.

when you ground the green wire to a black wire it will start the psu up and as soon as that circuit breaks the psu will shut off.

Flip the switch on the back off, and it will turn off.
