I posted this in another section but never got any replies.

This is my current build .. the MB died after about a week and a half sent it back for RMA and just got my replacement back I haven't rebuild the system yet though.
I haven't had as much time to research hardware as I used to. Is the PSU I have listed for this system adequate or could it have been the cause of the MBs crash? (it got to where it would lock up in the bios or not even get to the bios)
I plan on getting and 8800GTX within the next couple of months and I know I'm going to have to get a bigger PSU for that anyways.

If the current PSU is the problem which PSU would be a good one to get that wont break the bank..
not currently planning to run the 8800GTX in a SLI setup for a while. the price tag is just too much to choke down for 2 of them atm..

8800GTX says to use at least a 450W PSU ( I never go with atleast) I was thinking somewhere around 650 to 750W

Antec NINE HUNDRED case

hmm ok from reading a few other posts here in the power supply section it seems the problem is an incompatability problem with Asus and Antec neo power HEs.. This is the 1st time i have had any trouble with an Antec PSU.. my current working system has been running a neo 480HE for over a year..

so going by the system specs listed above and the eventual addition of an 8800GTX ( and even more eventually the addition of a second 8800 for sli) what PSU for some where around the 100 and 200$ range would be best.

The only incompatability between NeoHE and Asus, is the A8N series of boards, and the EARLY NeoHE's. If yours is A3 revision and up, it's fine.

Try a Corsair HX 620. It'll do everything you want including SLI 8800's, with adaptors. It's modular, quiet, and high quality. And it's rather inexpensive.
