This is my second Enhance PS-E5150GH from Ewiz. The first was ok for ~1 week but none of the voltages were stable under load. Then when I tried it on my new DFI Ultra-D the fans would spin up for a second and then shut off so I tried it in the other motherboad I had which it was running on and the same issue. Now I have the replacement from the RMA and its doing the same thing the other started doing but right out of the box. I've tried it with the DFI and a FX55 and a MSI-Neo4 w/ Opty 165. On both the PSU, CPU, and Chipset fans spin up for about 1 sec and then cut off. I've been a month without my new computer, I don't know how much longer I can last. :(

Pull it all from the case. Make sure there are no short circuits. Try it again outside the case.

Or: Switch off the power supply from the back for the supply, unplug it. Plug a paperclip between green and black wires on the ATX 24 pin. disconnect everything else from the supply. Then flip the switch on the bakc, on. it should turn right on. If the psu kicks out after a second, it's faulty. if not, then you most likely have a short in your case somewhere.

I already pulled everything from the case. The PSU was on a sheet of paper and the mobos were in cardboard boxes. I also tried two different outlets and two different powerstrips. I'll try the paper clip thing in a bit.

I tried that little paper clip trick. At first it spun up for a rotations without anything connected even the power cable to the surge strip. :p Then it stopped and and plugged it in. Nothing, no combinations the psu or surge strip switch would work. Just to make sure I tried the trick with my old psu. Worked like a charm. Looks like I got yet another bum supply from ewiz. By the time this is over with all the addition shipping costs I could have bought a corsair psu. :(

I have a boot issue with a Rev. 3, 5150GH and an older revision Ultra-D. I need to shut the psu off completely and then back on in order to boot. If I try warm re-booting, it hangs on 4 leds every time. However, it works just fine once booted. I don't want to rma again (first one had a bad temp sensor/fan controller right out of the box) and will try it out on a future C2D build with another mb.

The other Enhance 5150GH I have works perfectly with a newer Ultra-D board. Out of 3 I've tried, 2 had issues. Not overly impressed with this highly touted psu.......

Have you tried the PSU's that are giving you trouble with any other motherboard than a DFI?

I don't have any others on hand right now but will try with a C2D board in Q2 07. It will still be under warranty so if it's TU, I'll rma it.....

Do you have the extra power plug (aux power) plugged into the motherboard.....
