Here's the system:
Asus A8n32-SLI deluxe
A64 3200+ SINGLE CORE cpu. (tried both underclocked, overclocked, stock, etc)
4 dimms (2x512mb, 2x256mb) ddr400
ATI X1800XTPE
1 x 40gb SATA hdd
1x DVD rom
1xLinksys PCI wireless card
Power Supply - Enermax 465w.
Now, here's the problem: Random BSOD's. Never a bsod in the same place, never experience it at the same time doing the same thing.
I've tried RAM. I've also tried Windows XP, Windows Vista and both 32bit and 64bit versions of both. With a bare minimal installation with just Vista and video drivers, random BSODs still occur.
The Enermax PSU is roughly 6 years old now...which is quite dated and is why I think it's the problem. It's served me well over the years, but I think it's just gotten old and decrepid in it's time. Anyone else in agreement that it's the PSU? When tax time gets here I'm going to order a new one.
So I was thinking of getting a new one for my system (I currently have an OCZ GameXtream 600w that was an RMA replacement)...something around 850w-1000w. But it all depends on budget and more than likely I'll just get one to meet the needs of that system ...so around a 500w unit or so in case I decide to upgrade the cpu/gpu in it.
Thoughts?
