I get REALLY hot air coming out of the back of my psu exaust. Im using the Antec truepower 550w. I mean, its really hot and its heating up my room much more than my radiators are (watercool).

Is that just my particular PSU or are they all like that?

Most of the Antec units I've had experience with have tended to pour a lot of warm air out their backsides.

Look for a high effeciency unit. For the most part the higher the unit's effeciency the less heat it will generate.

The PSU in my personal rig (an FSP 700w Epsilon) rarely even gets warm and certainly doesn't spew hot air. It operates at around 80-ish percent efficiency if I recall correctly.

The high efficiency units do cost more, but they are well worth it in the long run. They not only run cleaner and waste less electricity, but they also may save a few cents on air conditioning. :)

hmmm...

I have another question: How much will overclocking affect an electricity bill? I just need a point of reference you know?
