PSU for two 6950's?

Cutting it a bit close, but if you don't overclock/unlock, then you probably will be fine.

You should be fine. 6950 CFX reviews put total system power consumption at ~450W, and SeaSonic PSUs are fantastic.

Seasonic will haul ass, no problem at all, but don't get a third card if you go SLI.

650Watt PSUs from reputable manufacturers like Seasonic can handle almost any modern day SLI/CFX setup. Notable exceptions would be 480s/580s and potentially 570s. 6950s are no problemas.

If you're looking to get another PSU, while S12s are definitely quality units you might do better with a more modern PSU, like a tx650 or if you have the $$ an x650.

Does the cable's used make a difference? I'm not sure how PSU's work exactly and how they divide the amps, but would it be better to use a 6 pin connecter for each graphics card and the 2 molex to 6 pin for each, or 2 6 pins for one and the 2 adapters for the other? Sorry if this sounds silly, I'm a noob when it comes to PSU's, just bought the best brand at the time lol.

This PSU is single-rail. The connector arrangement doesn't matter.

You are probably cutting it close. I am a firm believer that you shouldn't cheap out on a power supply.

If you don't OC you'll be ok. If you do OC then no you won't be ok. My system draws about 690W max load.

But no one is talking about cheaping out on a power supply....

Wall load or actual pull from power supply? If it's wall, considering best case scenario 90% efficiency, that's 621 watts from the power supply. And under what load conditions?
