My specs will be...
AMD 64 3200+ Venice
MSI Neo4 Platinum or DFI-NFU-D [non SLI]
Maxtor 10 250 GB Sata
Seagate 7200.8 250GB Sata
Plextor 708-A DVD burner
Radeon X800XL
Audigy2 ZS
1 GB OCZ VX Gold Ram
Wireless NIC
Saitek KB
Nostrom N52 speedpad
MX 1000 mouse
Logitech Z5500 5.1 speakers

I'm looking for a modular PSU and have the OCZ Modstream 450/520 and Antec NeoPower 480 in mind. Do I need the ATX12V 2.0 specs in this system or is it just nice to have? If I could save money by getting the OCZ 450 (which I'm pretty sure is up to the task in my new system) then I would like to do so. I will be doing some overclocking on air, but no watercooling.

You'll want the ATX12V v2.0 as it gives you the full 24-pin main connection.

The OCZ Modstream 450W will be good on your system. The 520, as far as I know, only adds amperage to the +5V lines, which aren't being used anymore. The Neopower is good in that it offers the dual +12V lines, whereas the Modstream only gives you one (it is an ATX12V v1.3 Hybrid and is missing only the dual +12V).

the 520W Modstream adds 7A to the 5V rail, and 2A to the 12Vrail...I don't think the 2A will make a difference in my system. So the only extra thing the Antec has is the extra 12V line right? I think I will just get the 450W Modstream then. Thanks for the help!

The extra +12V line will even out the load. They're nice to have, but seeing how you're not going to overclock, the 450W Modstream will be good.

I will be overclocking with this setup, but only on air. So I will not be powering a WC setup. I'm not looking for crazy performance, but would be looking to hit about 2.4-2.7 GHz from the stock 2.0. This PSU should still be up to the task shouldn't it?
