Working on my sister's fiance's laptop and had a quick question...I also posted in the memory forums, as the memory is bad and thought those guys would give several ideas. Here is the problem...She was receiving random blue screens and getting random errors. I eventually ran memtest86 and received MANY errors. Tried each chip one at a time, and both are bad. I wanted to know if was possible that the AC adapter could cause this. The reason that I ask is that the AC adapter works, but not all the time. Its one of those wiggle until it works type thing. She said she just has to wiggle it until it eventually works. During this process, there are several times where it will give a flicker of power and then go back to the battery. Not sure if the electricity would be regulated by going through the battery first or what....Anyone think this could be the cause?
