My current Coolermaster 850W PSU is giving up, switching off whenever it feels like it, which is not what I like...
Tried it with different loads, mainboards and even outside the case, makes no difference.
So, I need a new one.

the system:
ASUS P5K WS
8GB ram
Q9400 (at stock speeds)
Radeon HD5770 (factory overclocked)
2 Highpoint SATA RAID controllers
16 SATA 7200rpm drives from 200GB up to 1.5TB (individually powered, no backplanes)

So far I have been very happy with Enermax, Coolermaster and Corsair PSU's.

What am I looking for?
ps. I am in Europe.

CX430 V2 is probably your best budget option, and really as cheap as it gets for quality power supplies. It will probably be able to power everything.

Does your RAID controllers support staggered spinup? Because if they do, then the CX430 would probably work just fine. If not, look for something on the 500-600 watt range. You will have to use splitters.

Let's assume the controllers don't support staggered spin-up.
In an older config the system drew close to 400watts at start-up and over 350watts under full load.
I am running a Corsair Builder Series 5x0 watt unit in an other system, but don't like the amount of connections and cable lenghts on that one for this system, as this system is in a Chieftec big tower.
Splitters for the sata drives are no problem, I have plenty of those stashed in a box somewhere.

Seasonic x650 or x750. (because they are awesome and because I like them:p)

That Seasonic x660 looks good. Single rail, fully modular, 80+ Gold and on offer at one of my favorite suppliers.
It just made the short list.
Any other suggestions?

Most Highpoint RocketRAID controllers support staggered spin up. Though it is disabled by default iirc.

they have the option, it is enabled and it seems to work most of the time.
however I have also seen instances where the controller would spin up all eight disks at the same time, despite staggered spin-up being enabled so I went with a PSU that's more than plenty for the set-up as it is now.

also look for super flower golden green or golden green series they right up there with seasonic
