PSU for GTX460

Well, I had to take a 8800GTS offline last week and that set me back about 3k PpD (it was a second-hand low-yield BFG card on last leg).

Another naked rig with 2x 8800GTS may be going offline in the next few weeks. That's another 8k lost PpD.

So I was thinking about a GTX460 but only have a Antec earthwatts 80+ (bronze) 500W PSU in said rig. That should be sufficient, right?

That would get me around 10k PpD (or so) and make up for most of my recent/upcoming losses.

130W or so for a highly overclocked GTX 460. Assuming you aren't running anything insane as far as the rest of the system, you should be fine.

Roger that, thanks.

This is a dedicated F@H rig that runs 24/7 .... and keeps the basement warm in the winter.
