PSU for Fractal Node 304?

Which one should I go for if I want it to power a GTX 780 and an overclocked 4670K (I probably won't push it too much, maybe around the 4.2-4.4GHz range) and 2 SSD's? I was thinking of the AX 760i as I've seen someone squeeze one in but I'm unsure of how well it'll work out with MDPC sleeving. I've also given the Silverstone ST65F-G some thought but it won't be able to power a GTX 780 if I'm correct.

Should I just go with the AX 760i and see if it fits?
 
Anything more than 450 watts should be fine. I've seen people do Titans and 3570/3770ks on a quality 450 watt PSU.

The Titan and 780 both have a max TDP of 250 watts, and the 4670k has a max of 84. Motherboard, SSD, and a couple other things should still leave some headroom up to 450 watts.

Good points but I have heard that Haswell is really power hungry when in LOAD and overclocked but I'm not 100% sure about this. I suppose I could make do with something like 450W but I don't know of anything that has enough connectors for the GTX 780. = /
 
I think some people really liked the Strider series from Silverstone. It's 140mm so it's an easy fit into the Node 304. It has both 6 and 8 pin PCI express connectors, which from what I understand is what the 780 needs. Over on overclock.net there's a good thread about the Node and what PSUs people fit into it.

Personally, I'd like to get the case and try to fit one of the Seasonic fanless platinum PSUs in it. Some people have fit 160mm PSUs in it before, but not that particular model and I really wanna try it when I finally buy a new comp.
 
ST55F-G or ST65F-G are probably your best bid.
You could also get #standard# common length (160mm) PSUs and remove the psu bracket to push the psu a few inches back, but then you'll have to hold it down with zip ties and tape.

Standard ATX PSU depth is 140mm, not 160.
 
Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it. I took a look at some threads on the internet and found these two pictures: http://i.picpar.com/8Pp.jpg http://i.picpar.com/9Pp.jpg. That's an AX 760i stuffed into a Node 304 with a GTX 780 so I suppose it would work out alright? I just wonder how it'd be if I were to sleeve the cables and if that would pose a problem or not.

That said, I might just go with the ST65F-G since it basically has everything I need and I quite like the exterior look of it as well. It's just that I'm unsure of its internal design and fan noise...

Can you link to the page where you found those photos? I'm thinking of moving to a 304 from a Prodigy but I have an AX 760i and it seems like it's not going to fit... would really like to see some more information.
 
Overclocked i7 3970X + GTX Titan will draw about 370-430 Watt under Load from wall, which equals a DC power draw of about 330-390 Watt (@90% efficency).

That is not even half of what the AX 760i is able to deliver, but most PSU are most efficient @ 50% Load.

The 760i looks like it will be trouble, figure 170mm(6.7in) to the PSU then those cards are like 10.5"? So 4 inches across the face of the PSU. Even the mobo connector might be a tough fit. The G-Series Seasonics have all the modulars below the card level, the native cable is far enough over to fit something like that.

Yeah, that's my concern. I actually ended up finding the thread those pictures came from via an image search (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=61187165).

The guy there says the following about the build:
A note on this build: in order to get the GTX-780 and the AX-760i to fit, I had to remove the PSU bracket (4 screws) and double-side tape the PSU onto the case for stability. Had a Corsair TX-650 which fit without removing the bracket, but I made the jump to modular because I couldn't stand the cable hell.

One thing I've noted is that the 780 is about 3/4" shorter than my 7970, so I'm not sure if it'd work. I figure worst case I just need a new PSU. I already need a new cooler since the H100i obviously isn't going to work.
