PSU for 2x6950?

I just purchased a 6950 and did the shader unlock, was thinking about picking up another one before they kill this ability. My PSU is a PC Power & Cooling 750W, would this be sufficient to run two unlocked 6950s?
 
I am running 2 unlocked 6950's on my Antec True Power New 750W and I have not experienced any stability problems so far. PSU will be worked a bit hard, but I think you should be fine.
 
Unlocked 6950s can draw up to 250w each according to TPU:

CF 6950s will work on a 750w, but you will probably be pushing your PSU to the max in certain situations (especially if you're running a heavily overclocked i5/i7).
 
People need to stop posting that as if it were true for every single card. All TPU tested was the 2 cards he got for review (the 6970 and the 6950 they unlocked). Anyone with any form of higher education should know that stating absolutes based on a sample of 1 is statistically meaningless and absurd. What you should do is start collecting the power consumption measurements on all available reviews and come up with a trend. Then ask the people with unlocked 6950s to measure their power consumption and then compare the 2 data sets.

You also have to consider that 6970s are made from higher leakage Cayman chips running at higher voltage so that they can run at their rated clocks and have room for overclocking. It should be obvious that a 6970 would consume more power than an unlocked 6950.

Ok, I don't have any accurate way to measure power, but here is all the devices on my system than draw power :-

modded 6950 running at 6970 stock clocks with the power tune at +20%
Q6600 at 3.1Ghz.
5 sata2 hard disks, all over 350GB with the largest been 1TB.
1 Sata bluray drive,
1 sata dvd drive,
1 creative Xfi sound card,
1 Asus Xonar HDAV 1.3 deluxe,
1 Happauge Win TV S/S2 card,
Foxconn X38a motherboard with 1 fan running off it,
Xclio Windtunnel case with 2 - 120mm fans and 2 - 250mm fans, (4 fans in total)
USB mouse and keyboard
Medusa headset which also needs usb power,

All this is running off a Corsair TX 620 with no issue at all. This system has been like this for 2 years the only changes been the upgrading of a hard disk to 1TB and changing from a 4870x2 to the 6950.

I think a decent 750watt powersupply with an 80+ effciency rating will be perfectly fine for 2 6950's even if they are unlocked.
