Had an Antec-750tp. Basically I dropped water from my desk, and I guess one droplet made it through the fencing of the PSU. I turned PC off immediately, took the blow dryer and dried it out for awhile. Went to turn on PC, 2 seconds later, loud POP and small explosion from PSU. No fried smell. I wanted to know if there is a great chance my other components are destroyed, mainly my hard drive. Could I send it to Antec under warranty?

Could you? yes. Would it be possibly illegal and definitely scummy as all hell? yes.

in short: I vote you don't do it.

There is a good chance this sort of thing could have affected components--no way to know until you test the system.

It's also dishonest to submit a warranty the PSU, and RMA centers can sometimes tell if there is water damage.

A good rule of thumb is to let water-leaked electronics to dry for many days with some sort of desiccant (uncooked rice is a good example)--because water can wick through tight surface gaps where forced-induction heat for a short amount of time may not do anything to drive the water out.

Thanks for the tip. Will place suspected parts in rice. I won't be sending it in. This snow storm over the U.S. will delay my new PSU arrival though..
