My specs are in my sig. When I was playing a demo earlier, I noticed that my PSU emitted a high freqency electrical type noise when playing, but dies and goes away when im websurfing. Is this normal, or is there something that could be wrong internally with the PSU?

Thanks

It's coil whine. Nothing bad per se, but it can be annoying. If it's really a problem, you could RMA it and hopefully get a replacement without the issue. However, you don't have to worry about any damage occurring to your PSU or your components.

Quite a few GPU VRMs seem to introduce some kind of feedback with certain PSUs, resulting in the aforementioned coil whine. As stated it isn't harmful, only annoying.
