Unfortunately my PSU has died and I’m pretty sure it has to do with the crappy wiring in my house. I'm currently looking at buying the APC LE1200 1200VA Voltage Regulator, but I'm not sure if it will be sufficient enough, does PSU wattage matter? I have bought a new Corsair 750HX to replace my destroyed PSU. Any recommendations?

If your previous PSU was the one listed in your sig (Ultra X2 750W), I wouldn't be so quick to place the blame on your house. I think you should get a professional to assess the power quality in your house before you go ahead and purchase a line conditioner, and it's very possible that the cause of the PSU's death is simply because it's a really shitty unit: http://www.hardocp.com/article/2008/02/06/ultra_x2_extreme_edition_750w_power_supply/

I understand it was a shitty PSU and it was probably part of the cause, but my roomates also failed on him and had the same symptoms before it died (coil whine) about a month ago, so I don't feel like taking any more chances. With the temperatures dropping, energy use increasing, and brown-outs, I want to do whatever I can to protect my new PSU.
