This morning i woke up to my computer not turning on. I pressed the button and now it doesnt turn on. I looked at my power cord and its fine because i have a cat who chews on cords. I noticed she chewed on my webcam and one of my speaker wires to my computer. I can flip the switch off on my psu and wait a min and then flip it on and press the button to turn it on and the lights on the psu light up for a second. So i dont know if i need a new on or whats going on..because there is still power going through it. Please help!!!!
 
Turn off the mains power and unplug the ATX connector from the motherboard. Now jam a paperclip (or any conductive bendy thing) into the green line (PS-ON) on the ATX connector and an adjacent black (Signal GND). Switch on the power to the PSU and if the PSU fan spins it's a good sign the PSU may be okay. If the fan is dead then it suggests the same of the PSU.

I used the same trick a couple of days ago to determine if my 380W PSU was dead.
 
Make sure everything is plugged in al the way and your motherboard isn't touching metal.
