I have just bought a new PSU ( its not here yet ) and was wondering if there was and danger of it frying my computer when I swap it in?
 
Well the PSU wont be turned on till you get it installed or at least i hope it wont be. ESD damage from electro static shock poses a greater threat of you damaging something.

What PSU did you get? I sure hope it was a name brand one.
