PSU clicking

My PSU just about 15 minutes ago started to make a clicking sound. I bought it about 4 months ago, it's a 600W Rosewill(I know, unreliable) with a lot hooked up to it. It had 2 7900GT KOs, 2 hard disks, 2 cd drives, pentium D 930. Plus about 5 case fans. This click fan continues with the PC on or off, but stops when I switch the power in the back to off. It begins when I switch the power back on almost immediately. It has 19 amps on each 12V rail. Ideas or help of advice/suggestions needed ASAP.

It's cause the fan is dying. You have 4 choices:
1. RMA the PSU
2. Pop it open (who needs a warrenty anyways) and swap the fan for one of your choice
3. ???
4. Profit !

Read my post carefully, the click continues with the PC on or off. It just gets much quieter when the PC is off. The fans both turn off then the PC is off, so it's no the fans in the PSU.

Sounds like it still could be your fan. As long as your PSU is plugged into a motherboard, it turns on. The fans probably rotate faster when you start up your computer because of the increased current drawn and thats why the clicking gets louder.

Can you say with absolute certainty thats its NOT your fan?

Yes, because the fans are LED fans and I would be able to see the LEDs lit up if the fans were going. And I can see the fan blades sitting there idle.....

My PSU makes a few clicks after I shut down the computer, I am not sure why, but after everything turns off - pause... click click click... quiet.

Doesn't do any other time so I'm not worried about it right now - though should I be?
