PSU causing game crashes?

So I have my system all setup and stable as far as I can tell from all the 3DMark 01/03 and Prime 95 testing I can do. I go to run Thief 3 and after about an hour of play the game starts crashing to the desktop. I've had probably 2-3 PSU's in the passed that have done a very similar thing. Right now im using an Antec Tru430. With 8 Fans, 3 HDD's, 2 DVD Drives, 6800GT OCed, my CPU OCed and everything running higher than normal voltages I might be asking too much of it.

I already ordred a OCZ Powerstream 520... supposedly one the best PSU's around especially for OCing. I was just curious as to what you guy's opinions are.
 
My best guess would be that that supply is too small and likely not regulating the voltages very well. Most of the stuff you have in there already use a lot of power and oc'ing them will just increase the draw even more.

I'm using a 400W PC P&C in my system and I can tell the thing is really pushing to keep everything running at times.
 
you many be drawing too much power from ur hard drives, try re-wireing your fans off your cd roms, that may fix the problem. but yah 8 fans? ever think of water cooling? me, my self and anyone else living with me prefer something not as loud as a case with 8 fans on it. 4 120mm fans would do the job flawlessly, they draw less power and push more air then 80mm's, plus their quieter, if all else fails for cooling ur pc try watercooling or phase change vapor cooling.
 
Well my case came with 7 80mm fans and my CPU has one. It has a fan controller with it. Its quieter with all fans at half speed or higher than my old case that only had 4 fans in it. I looked at some of the cases with 120mm fans but I didnt like them much. I want to get into watercooling but im still a noob in that area.
 
I will withhold comments on anything with an OCZ label.

It isn't just the rating, it is the watts on each rail. If you are overloading one rail, regardless of total watts you will have a problem. Same thing with efficienty of some power supplies as temps increase - output drops dramatically so you need higher rails to compensate. PC Power & Cooling or Zippy/Emacs will give rock solid results.
