I lost my bookmark to a really good psu calculator I have used.

It is NOT the extreme outervision, or the jc customs calculators.

It is also Not the one here web.aanet.com.au

You entered what all hardware you have psu, video, fans, etc. It gave you a breakdown of how many amps you needed for each rail and a minimum wattage.

Any help one finding this one would be greatly appreciated

wasn't that calc old and outdated? i have the link somewhere...

Most PSU calculators give inaccurate estimates, so they're not recommended here.

I don't believe it was outdated. It was a rather "big" one. Letting you choose from many types of hardware in your system.

I found the website by using google, but it wasn't just through "psu calculators", i used some other combination of words, but I don't remember what. I will do another search.

Thanks

Still looking. This calculator has may hardware choices and a drop down box for each item to select how many items you have. There are small windows next to each device representing the different voltages and how many amps each device draws per the rail/s it uses. There are windows near the bottom of this calculator that tells you a minimum of how many amps you power supply should provide per rail.

If anyone can provide a link to this calculator, it would be appreciated

It sure looks like the one I used a few weeks ago, but it seems to be just a little different. Different in the choices in the drop-down boxes for each hardware choice. Also, maybe it is just a temporary problem, but the last time I accessed the website that had that calculator, it wasn't as SLOW as this one is.

Thanks for the link.

Hahahah, that Newegg calculator is the worst one I've ever seen. According to it, I should get a 1kW PSU, and according to Corsair, I didn't need to get a 620W, a 550W would have been fine. (happier having the 620 just in case, especially since I may go 4850 CF)

For what it's worth, the eXtreme calculator agrees with Corsair.

Ha! Yeah, the Newegg one is the worst, but then they are trying to make more money so I guess it doesn't surprise me. The NE one says I need at least a 685 watt PSU for my system, while the Corsair one says I can get by with a 450. I think my 610 PCP&C will do the job just fine.
