Having some free time right now I decided to start sleeving my PSU cables again. Everything was easy to deal with till I came across the 24pin cable.

It is a 24 pin mobo to 28 pin PSU with a few cables split into each other.

Can I just eliminate those 4 cables that split into each other? Want to see if this is something I should attempt before buying a 24pin from cable mods. Also I shouldn't have an issue just removing what I assume is a small capacitor?
