Virtually all PSU's have thermostatically controlled fans, including the SilverStone. Don't assume it doesn't because Newegg forgets to put that in as a bullet point. ;)

If anything spend the extra 5 bucks and get yourself a 5 year warranty. I like my single rail corsair 750... No issues for 2-3 years.

How about the Antec TPN 650 which is about the same price? More efficient than both of them....less modular than the Silverstone...more modular than the Corsair.

Thanks for the info on the temp control and warranty. I'm passing on the Antec because I had a bad experience with them in the past, a screeching fan on one and one up and died on me after a single year of use.

Then pretend it's actually a Seasonic PSU (it is actually a Seasonic PSU).

The Seasonic is more efficient...but the Corsair is actually a more robust design Independently regulated. Not that it really matters.

The Antec TPN is better than all of them, but all of them are perfectly good choices.

Doesn't the 650TX use a Seasonic design? Or is it CWT?

It is made by Seasonic, but it is a different design compared to the other PSUs we're discussing. There are quite a few different Seasonic designs.

lol, I just wanted to know.

But which one does it use if i may ask, an less efficient X-650 design? Or something else? just for corsair?

The Antec TPN 650, The M12II Bronze, The TX650

All built by Seasonic

All different platforms

None of them anything like the X-650

TPN is the newest of the three, the most robust of the three

TX650 is based off of and older Seasonic design, but it is a more complete design than the M12II

The M12II is based on a more "cost effective" design, but it has been tweaked to be more efficient.

X-650 is the newest design period...a pretty radical and expensive design.
