So I'm looking for a new power supply. This computer only consists of a highly overclocked i3, a GTX 285, and 1 HDD lol. I realize I don't need a very big PSU to handle the above, and have been considering a Seasonic's M12II 520/620, Antec's Truepower New 750 Blue (A Seasonic M12D and it's only $85 on Newegg), but then this huge deal on a used HX850 pops up (~$110). I know I'll never ever need that much of a PSU, but considering it's priced similar to the new M12II's and only a little bit more than the Antec, do you think I should grab the HX850? I also won't have to mess around with rebates, not to mention the HX850 will have a nice resale value.

PS Don't even tell me to grab the TX650/TX750 on sale @ the egg, because they're older Seasonic (S12) and CWT (DSG) units.

but i think corsair is better than seasonic,
i have a TX650W in my secondary pc,good PSU

LOL, well the problem is Corsair makes some VERY good units (HX750, HX850, TX950) and some good/okay units, (pretty much the rest). A lot of Corsair units are Seasonic units, and no offense, but you're not really the kind of person I'm looking for opinions from. Your TX650 IS a Seasonic (lol).

SeaSonic:
CX400W (S12II)
VX450W (S12II)
HX450W (S12II)
HX520W (S12)
HX620W (S12)
TX650W (S12)
HX650W (S12E)

CWT:
VX550W (PSH)
GS600W (PSH)
TX750W (PSH)
HX750W (DSG)
TX850W (PSH)
HX850W (DSG)
TX950W (DSG)
HX1000W (PUC)

Well the Truepower New is not 100% M12D.

Despite being on the market longer the TX650 is actually probably a better design than the M12II Bronze. The M12II has it beat in efficiency alone...otherwise the TX650 is independently regulated and the M12II Bronze is group regulated. The M12II is an old design with some tweaks to make it more efficient.

Other than that..I am never keen myself on buying used...especially hardware...but that is my own eccentricity.

Thanks HOOfan_1 It does come with the proof of purchase and 6+ years of warranty, so I think I'm going to pick it up.

I would just get the Truepower New for $85 out of those options. It's the best deal in my opinion and should last a good while.
