I'm sure this is old news for most, but I just followed this guide:

http://www.ufighterx.com/guides/videogame/pspdpadfix/pspdpadfix.htm

the only action my PSP has been getting lately is Tekken during my lunch break with a co-worker. It's damn frustrating with how difficult it is to hit angles on the d-pad. This mod has made a WORLD of difference. Blocking low/WGF motions are just as easy as a PS2 pad now :)

Highly recommended (if your PSP is out of warranty anyway)

I really dont feel like opening my psp up to do this, I actually just started using that POS analog.

I can blue tgf on the analog now haha.

Hmm...I may give this a try. I've never had any complaints about the D-pad, but I can see how this would make it more responsive.

Taking apart a PSP is easy. The most annoying part about doing this mod would be making sure you get all the dust/finger prints off before putting the cover back on. Now that I've rebuilt and repaired almost a dozen PSP's, I'm pretty comfortable tearing down a PSP.
