First shots here!

Finally putting my 70-300APO to good use, took out slapped it into (pseudo)macro mode and mounted her to a tripod and started snapping away. I loved how "close" I was able to get, and am definitely seeing a 70-200/2.8 and extension tubes in my future =) I'm always wanting to get closer physically, using 200mm instead of 300. Anyway, here are some shots.

Be nice! I'm new at this =)

(I'm only going to post the ones I like, I'll link the rest! Better for those low bandwidth people!)

I'm thinking number 4 is "good" enough for me to print and frame. My first wallhanger! I'll give it as a gift to the kind family friends that gave us those flowers!

Enjoy!

Hell there isnt anything the matter with those shots. On #4 though you might try to soften it up some in PS or whatever photo utility you use. Id say adjusting the contrast would take some harshness out. I do that alot of times when I have [H]ard light in a pic. Great shots just keep doing it.

Thanks. I was kinda going for the [h]igh|contrast though haha. =)

Excellent macro shots. I love taking macro shots. The contrast really makes the color stick out!
