Valve has finally apologized for last week’s Steam Christmas disaster, explaining in a lengthy statement today that the issues stemmed from a Denial of Service attack and wound up exposing the information of around 34,000 users...in an attempt to thwart some of the attacks, Valve inadvertently caused a caching malfunction that exposed some users’ personal information...

Well theyre blaming it on a "Partner" at the moment but Im sure they know thats no excuse. I think the scary thing for me is trying to keep your account secure. I change phone numbers sometimes once a year or more and thats a big part of security now so that sucks. I know it sounds lazy that I have to update my number on all my accounts once a year but its still annoying.
