Hey there lads and ladettes I'm trying to play assassins creed on pc using my ps4 controller.now I've installed ds4 and installed the drivers and use the server sent with ds4 but the light on the ps4 just blinks yellow for 2 secs then goes off no life in the controller apart from the analog any help would be much much appreciated.

When I was new to PC gaming I wanted to use a playstation type controller as well but now that im a seasoned veteran I would never use a controller like that for any pc game i play. They lack range of motion for the analog sticks and too many buttons that are only accessible by one thumb which severely limits their usefulness in games where speed and accuracy are important. You have to stop moving and/or looking around to change your weapons or access some other feature with one of the 10 other buttons only accessible by letting go of an analog stick which is not ideal when facing others who dont have that same problem. For any type of multiplayer shooter game using such a controller will put you at a major disadvantage vs others as the keyboard and mouse are far superior allowing for much faster more accurate input and in other cases a joystick or g25 racing wheel are optimal. I dislike console games partially cause the controllers suck and partially cause the hardware sucks so the game is half the game it is on a pc, but at least on a console everyones got the same disadvantage forced to use the same crappy controllers, lol!
