For those familiar with Linux, I understand that the official yellowdog package is a variant of fedora. So in theory, if we were to install this on the PS3, we would get all the functions of a regular Linux box (like the ability to install apache, php, mysql, etc)?
This will basically decide for me whether to keep or ebay the machine - I was one of the lucky few who snagged a preorder with minimal fuss, and while I was initially going to sell it, if I can get near complete Linux functionality out of it, it'd be a great way for me to get familiar with linux, as well as use it as a test server for my web apps.
And yes, I realize that I could've gotten a linux setup for cheaper, but I don't exactly have a spare computer, don't want to go through the hassles of a dual-boot setup, and hell, I'll eventually have a PS3 regardless, so this would kill two birds with one stone.
Thanks for any advice!
