I looked at alan2308 PS3 FAQ and saw it was from last year and was curious if there was a way to configure Fahmon to show the PS3.

Also what does the leaderboard on the PS3 interface have to do with anything, or is it just showing points for your PSN account?

There is still no way to monitor your PS3's folding except for turning on the TV and looking at the display. We've been screaming for Sony to open up the specs since the F@H client was put on it, but so far no go.

The FAQ is out of date because it was like literally a month after I finished it and it got put into Horde Central when they rolled out the Life with Playstation thing and made half the FAQ obsolete. I just couldn't find any desire to update it.

No idea about the leaderboard thing.

No way to monitor it because you have to be able to read the log file (if the PS3 version even creates one)

There's no way to even know what its doing.

I did read something today about Sony wanting to be more open, so there's always hope.

I have never put an OS on mine. Is there any crazy ways to fold through the OS rather than the Life Ap?

Not that would take advantage of the CPU that is in the PS3. The client and OS that is on it are tuned to work with the weird little proc that is in there.

Sony wrote the PS3 F@H client themselves so I'd guess that anything you could rig up to work in a nix OS wouldn't come close to the production of LWP. And the leaderboard thing is a link to the PSN account.. has nothing to do with folding.
