What is the smallest powersupply that you would recommend for SLI 8800GT's. I have to take my BFG 1000W for my folding setup

Don't go cheap on that supply it will bite you in the end.

Depends on the rest of the components. For a non-i7 system, a quality 500-550W would be sufficient for a system with two SLI'd 8800GTs though.

You are going to want a minimum of +12V@40A, however +12V@50A+ would be preferred.
