I just picked up a new 750 watt PCPWR&C PS from the Egg (Only 189). The rest of my stuff is not here yet, but I decided to plug in the PS to make sure it worked. No fan startup/humming noise-nothing. I thought maybe it needed a load so I hooked up a single fan but still nothing. Is my new PS DOA?

I did what Johnny Guru suggested and FLAMES SHOT OUT OF MY PS! Not really - but I do have the patience to wait for the rest of my stuff to test it.

The procedure to start the PSU is safe to try if you like. Odds are about 99.99% that all will be fine with the PC Power unit. The units are each fully tested under load before packing. You will have a test report in the box.
