my PS/2 keyboard stopped working after I swapped hard drives. I tested it out on another computer, and the keyboard works fine. so, before I go out and buy an USB keyboard, is there any possible fix to get the PS/2 port to work or is it just dead now? thanks

edit: want to add that it flashes the 3 Lock key lights during POST, but I get no response from the keyboard to try to get into the BIOS or in Windows.

I know this sounds stupid, but is it plugged in the proper PS/2 port?

Also try booting the machine with nothing plugged into the USB ports and see if you can now get into the BIOS.

the PS/2 port is working again. I'm guessing the issue was a short somewhere. the motherboard isn't as firmly in place as I'd like it to be due to quality of standoffs and screws, so there's a bit of wiggle when I put pressure on the motherboard (like the SATA port).
