proxifying an entire computer

Is there a way to proxify my whole computer. I know that I can punch in an IP address into internet explorer via lan settings.

But how can I set it to proxify everything including firefox, skype, msn, aim, and everything else that connects to the internet? I am not talking about web proxies, but if I have a number like this. 41.223.157.14:8080
