Protecting a computer that you are not using from dust

I have read up a bit on protecting a computer that you are not using from dust, moisture, etc.

Wrapping it in a cotton cloth seems like an ok idea. Perhaps a piece of a sheet if it's a desktop computer. But, sometimes it's tough to know if a sheet is 100% cotton. Plus, you might not have a sheet that you want to cut to make it the right size.

How about the idea of wrapping the computer in brown paper bag-like paper? Can use some packaging tape, too. Maybe that traps in moisture a little more than cotton, though. Just in case, have it fit a little loose and have some small open area to help with air flow.

get saranwrap and store it somewhere other than a non-climate controlled garage or attic.
