Prosecutors Raid BenQ For Insider Trading

It looks as though BenQ headquarters were raided by prosecutors claiming that the company’s senior management was involved in insider trading.

Sources at the Taoyuan Prosecutors Office stated the allegations involve a number of top executives of BenQ who profited from the trading of BenQ shares in the three months prior to the company's announcement on March 14, 2006 of huge losses from its acquisition of the money-losing mobile phone unit of Germany-based Siemens.
