can this card support two raid 1 configurations?? right now I have two WD Caviars running on two seperate channels(ide 1 and ide2) in raid 1.... if I bought two new seagate barracudas could I put them as secondary on the ribbons and make another raid 1 configuration??? And if not is it possible to make the 2 WD's into a 240 and the 2 seagate's into a 240?? Anyone ever use this card?? Please help me out here as I want to buy 2 of these seagates and want to know whether to buy another controller card or not...

Thanx, QwertyJuan

I own the TX2000 and i'm running a RAID0 array /w 2 100GB WD JB disks. From my knowledge, you can run two arrays.. however.. whenever you write to (or read from) two drives on the same channel... performance will be degraded. (from master and slave on same channel) So... in my case.. I have 2 drives... each as master on it's own channel... if i wanted to, I could add 2 more drives.. say 40 gigs each and set them up in their own raid array.... both as slaves.. one for each channel) If you wanted to, you could set it up as JBOD (just a bunch of drives ---- essentially combining the drives into one, providing no performance increase) for each of the two drives x2 and that would get your computer to think it has two 240GB hard drives. Hope that helped:eek:
