Sure is. I'd max the ram and setup a level 5 array in a fileserver with 3 or 4 of these (just because they are cheap). If you are patient and keep an eye out on the hot deals forum, there are even better deals to be had on IDE drives than those I linked to.

cool im looking to build some kind of cheap raid array since my 300gb is filling up fast lol, anyways if i remember right i got this like 3 years ago from someone in the FS/FT for some really cheap price because i was going to build a raid array but never got around to it, i also have the Quick start guide and the instruction manual wich is huge, however i dotn have any of the installation disks or cd but im sure i can find that somewhere online,

does anyone know what kind of speed/performance i will get out of this thing if i do make something like a cheap 1 tb raid array
