Hi,

I have a projector that works with my PS2 as far as video goes but I'm not sure how to connect the audio out (there are 3 colored cables, I forget which one is audio) of the playstation 2 to my speakers (I have standard computer speakers). I'm assuming I can perhaps do something like buy an adapter and connect to the "line in" of my computer ?

I usually use my projector with my computer so this hasn't been a problem before.

I was thinking of buying an Xbox 360 too so I guess I would have similar problems anyway given that I would need HDMI or component? (the projector has HDMI but I don't think it has speakers built in, which is probably for the best).

Thanks

You can take the audio via your PC if you want or you can connect the speakers directly, either will work fine. You just need an adaptor to get the right connectors. PC gear uses 3.5mm stereo jacks, AV and HIFI gear uses pairs of phono connectors (usually red and black or red and white).

get a female RCA to 1/8th inch male stereo adapter to go from the PS2 cable into the PC

get female to female to go right into the PC speakers cable directly

Radio shack should carry these, walmart and more
