ha ha. as cool as that is, i thought you were gonna break out with a nano-itx board or something and make a computer out of it. i think optical drives in the bread slots would have been cool :p

lol i bought that same toaster... its a peice of shit though.. but it was only 6 bucks lol

oh course it's crap, it's from Durabrand. Durabrand? 'dura', as in durable? yeah you just know that thing is gonna burst into flames on its 10th bagel...

Any company brand name (such as GQ, "Great Quality") that touts its own greatness is usually shit.

thanks ;) really an attention grabber in the house.. usally people are like wtf? why?

It seems to have 2 settings. Warm, or Burnt to a Crisp

I cleared it with some Hightemp resistant stuff. I've never used it. It's not shiny. :( But the paint doesn't melt so it works for me.

lol, looks great. Now I'm thinking that a toaster would make a great enclosure for 2-3 sata drives.

*Dies* LMFAO. Thanks for the good laugh.

Personally I'd be very worried about the paint... you know the whole fire thing... then agian... what else would you expect from a $6 toaster.

under body led's!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that sounds pretty good. :) How would I go about doing that?

Yeah I thought of that, or just the paint melting away. I coated it with 4 coats of black engine block hightemp paint... rated for 1200* or something ridiculosly insane. Then The orange was just some walmart model spary paint. then I put maybe 4 coats of high temp clear... I gave it a week of drying time before I turned it on, and even then.. the first time smelt a little like paint.

I'm no electrician, but I'm sure you could plug into the current that is used to heat the coils and just step it down somehow.

yeah the step down part seems important and I have no idea how to that. Other them some sort of resistors.

Well since you are into the whole modding thing and don't want to use a resistor... just see if you can find like preforated metal plates to insert... so your toast is shielded... should still get a sufficient toast.

Just make sure it imprints your toast with nice a nice big [H] :D

dude, screw opticals, i want a dual external zip/jaz/tape drive in there, preferably with auto-eject function :)

just think of it, running a backup, and then *PLOP* two fresh backup tapes :D

nope... cooling is piss poor inside of it, and it keeps hot as crap
