I don't want to paint the brass, I need to repaint the whole case. I've been filling small imperfections and sanding on it so the finish is all special looking. Its getting an interesting look to it lately.

Update: Made a fan grille today. I need to order a filter for the fan, until I do that this will at least keep me from dropping things into the fan. I think its a bit too wide, I may pull it apart and shorten the aluminium rods to make it fit the fan a bit better.

Some of that speaker screen material from a1950s Era speaker box could look cool behind your custom fan cover. Might be restrictive, but it should would look neat. Nice idea, by the way.
