So not to be to lame, but NPC simply stands for New PC, as I have yet to think up the theme for what I am going to create... wife recommends a blue colored theme, but I haven't been able to tie it in to anything specific for a whole theme... any suggestions?
Either way, here is the start of my work / parts compiling process. This will take me approximately 8 months with new, small parts (sub $100), being ordered every month and larger parts ($100+) being ordered every 2-3 months. The motherboard, CPU, graphics cards and ram will be the very last thing I order and will likely be ordered all in the same month.
This project is starting out with a Fractal Define S case, which is perfect for liquid cooling builds. It is wonderfully minimalistic in design and can hold pretty much everything I want.
The only modification to the case I am thinking of doing at the moment is to mod the top panels so they can accommodate the 360mm radiator without leaving a nasty looking gril exposed... we shall see how that goes...
