So I started my build last night (case finally came) and I am doing a murdermod sleeving of everything. I am doing a black/blue theme with the computer - the lighting is all blue, along with my joystick/keyboard/mouse. I will put the list of equipment in later, kinda busy at work but here is a shot so far.

I have almost finished sleeving the first half of the PSU - probably the biggest pain in the ass I have ever done.

Oh and it has a name now, compliments of my lady - Huge Nerd Computer

Project "Shoulda listened to me and went back into the kitchen and done the dishes" would have been my suggestion, you know, for the black and... oh whatever.

LOL nice

I got it running today, have more sleeving to do - need to figure something out for lighting cause it's pretty dim, which is nice but sometimes like with lights on it would look better

the only thing sleeved at the moment is the ATX 24pin, sata and fans so those PCIe need to be done

it just looks plain, i need to figure something else out

Don't you think it looks plain though? Hopefully Monday I will have some time to sleeve more.

i dont think of as being plain at all. when i see something like this, i think classy and neat

Looks great!!

I'm sure you've seen my recent Corsair Obsidian Build. As for lighting, in addition to the lighted fans at the top (which you've got), I added two 12" tubes to illuminate from the bottom (and the PSU from the top). I hid them behind a 1 1/4" x 12 1/2" L-shaped metal bracket a local HVAC shop gave me as scrap. I power coated them black to match the case. With two of these deflectors, you can pretty much hide a tube anywhere and keep it looking nice.

BlazeStorm did something very attractive as well: He put one tube light from top to bottom on the frontside of the drive bays (the Corsair window 'wave' hid it well) and another top to bottom from the top of the back 140mm fan to the last PCI slot. Again, the windowed door hid that as well.

BTW: watch that sleeved cable you have underneath the EVGA-logo'd Northbridge. That sucker gets hot! Would hate for you to add the smell of melted wire and a possible short to your build log.

Also - to keep the optical drive cables from breaking up your clean look, you may want to route them in through the backside of the drive bays instead of through the routing grommets. It's one less 'pokey' thing sticking out...

That Corsair case really is a beaut' ...

I'd go with Project Stealth.

Aside from all the ridiculous names, because computers don't need names, it looks good.
