Project Liandri

Hey guys, just started my Unreal Tournament mod on my old Centurion 5 case. I hope to have this one ready for next years QuakeCon in 2015.

So far I have started out with a bit of cutting, cosmetic work.

Stripped down with the removal of the lower drive bay.

Top Panel. This was difficult because it was pop riveted into the unibody and held under a rolled edge. I had to be very careful removing it to not bend the Motherboard tray.

A 140mm fan hole was cut with a 5" Hole Saw & cleaned up with a Dremel and hand file. (Thank you to mnpctech for the tutorial video & templates)

Here we are cutting the standard honeycomb grill of the 120mm rear fan. A custom 120mm fan grill will be added to the final product.

The cut and cleaned up edges of the rear 120mm fan. U channel Molding will be purchased to fill the edge of the cut.

A picture of our work after we re installed the top panel. We used steel pop rivets to fasten it instead of the standard aluminum rivets that came with the case.

Cut the Honeycomb grill out of the front for the 80mm fan. Custom Grills with U-channel edge molding will be added. Also, took those hideous white 5.25 inch drive bay latches off. :)

That's all for now. This is a WIP and I am far from finished. Thanks for looking.

5/11 Update:

Didn't get anything done in terms of fabrication this weekend but I did however get the vector images developed so that we can get the custom fan grills made.

I am very interested to see where this goes. I don't see any hardware specs yet?
