I snaked the radiator fan's speed control through the 3.5" bay slot and put it in the rail guide. I'll secure it when I lengthen the other speedcontrollers and put them in.

I ended up using the aquajet to keep bubbles from re-entering the system, I'm a little disapointed in the aquatube in that respect. If it weren't for its killer looks I would have just gone with a T-line. The reservoir is mounted on the drive rails so it slides out for easy refilling and draining. The fill port is on the top of the res so I don't have to unhook anything when I fill.

I could have done better with cable management considering the case I'm happy with the the minimal effort it took to hide as much as I did. Big thanks to Erasmus354 for rad placement idea. It really fits in there like a glove. Drilling and cutting took me no more than 10 minutes and the fan bolts right up to the stock location. Easiest mod ever ;)

Here's where I notched the bottom drive bay to give my tubes a little extra room. The cut is rounted off but I'll cover it in rubber trim later just to make sure.

All in all I'm very happy with the results. The P180 was practically made for this project as you can see with the PA160 placement. My overall goal was complete silence from an internally mounted WC setup and I feel I've hit the mark. With the front door shut I can't hear the computer at all.....in fact, I've discovered that my monitor has a really annoying buzz that makes me want to jump out the window. Idle temps before were about 60* C on the CPU and 6800. Load temps spiked up to 70* and 79* respectively. WC temps remain constant at 38*/40* and 43*/44* under load. Case temps are 41*. All fans are stock Antec fans set on low. All of that is measured with ASUS's motherboard utility so take it with a grain of salt. I'm sure I didn't apply the Arctic Silver properly and another rad would probably help but such is life. I haven't tried overclocking yet because I'm having some memory issues but overclocking isn't a huge concern...silence (and the constant urge to mess with stuff) was.

i can't get my hard drive to stop whining ... it's an old wd 40 giger 7200 rpms .. are the newer ones quiter?

looks great, thanks for posting pics, I haven't seen a good WC install on the P180 before. The one thing that would make me nervous is not having a window (Im guessing) with a WC system... but maybe Im just a nervous person. What size tubing is that? 3/8" or 7/16"?
 
i like your setup, especially since its in a P180. i was alil concerned about the rad getting enough airflow with the front door closed, but it appears that your temps are great. Nice job

Oh god you hae no idea! Like I said, I got fed up with the noise and went part by part through my old computer stopping fans and such. I was shocked that the HDDs made 98% of the computer's noise while they idled. I'm not talking about seek noise, I'm talking about straight idle spin. Do yourself a favor and buy a Spinpoint, you'll be shocked.




The tubes are 3/8" from Danger Den.....in retrospect I could have saved a ton of money getting them through Ace Hardware.

Antec certainly did a good job designing this case as far as noise is concerned. There is a noticable difference in noise when the door is open and closed but a very minimal temp difference, if any, when it is closed.
 
looks good, very clean. I almost bought the p180 last night but went with a Gigabyte case instead for my new setup :D
