Project "Impossible Modding"

Really tnx!
Today the white, red and green neon must arrive, yesterday I picked up a dvd burner (SATA) and some goodies (aka alluminium profile) next days I manage to do something in this crammed case :)
Stay tuned brothers :)

WOOOOOW!!!!11!!

You modding made me drool on my keyboard.

Now all I need to see is someone cram their computer into a wall. Yes. That means taking down the rock sheet and removing some insulation to fit a computer right into the wall.

The keyboard is ready, I hope to find some free time and to have back all my data (I forgot to backup the last week, 130 pics, and the laptop hd seems to be gone...).
Please, be patient with me...

cramming so much hardware in so little space....awesome!
and your attention to detail, like the additional hdd cooling heatsinks, is just kick-ass.

Long time is passed...
In the maentime I've maged to go to G69T home to see the Dark Blade and talk about modding ...
He is showing an extra piece of the tak "fins" on the side :

And then he gave me like a gift :)

I'm a little bit happy :

Really cool mod, and really cool guys, but this is not the thread of the Dark Blade, this post is only to show you that I'm alive, and between some days I'll show you some big-little modding to my mod :)

It was a long time that I don't update this thread...
Sorry guys, but real world stuff hit me...
Now I'm near the end of this modding, do you want to follow me again?
The motherboard was dead, so here is a new mobo and the liquid loop on the table :

At this time, I need to take out even the psu and the optical drive :

And the hard disks? Take apart...
I need to improve this mod, I need more room :)

DSC07245.JPG

As I used the space is not bad, but it's not really good, so I manage to have a better space occupation :)
At the first time I was wandering to have the disk in this way ::

The bit trouble was that thay touch with the psu connectors, driving me to use angled joints for the water loop.
The second idea is this :

Using this disposition I can mova one of the two optical drive, and have a free 5and1/4 bay. This can allow me to use a normal size dvd :)

But I need to take a closer look at the height, because the straight water connector can touch the motherboard plate...
To gain some millimeters I've decided to take apart the Ma.Er. screw support :

Without this little piece of alu I've gained 2cm of space, not bad!
At this time, this will be the definitive setup :

The original soldered screw don't allow me to put in place the slim dvd, so I've removed quickly :)
This is the free space between the two hard disks :

The alu bar is 15mm plus the two velcro strip to hold it in place and allow me to take apart the drives without screws.
The fixing part begins :

After 30 minutes of works, it's the time to see if this solution is ok, but I need to wait 24 hours because the adhesive reach his maximum potential.
After 24 hours /to tell you the truth, 27 hours) here is :

Ok, the hard disks goes out quickly and they are firmly in place.

Now I want to change the gpu waterblock retention screws :

I want to use a single bracket instead of the double, take apart the springs and cover the screws with some black tubing, now I like it more!
I forgot to order some ram heatsink, but I have on my desk this :

Let's cut it!
A quick deblurring with a file and here we go :

Some T411 adhesive and they hare in place :

And now even the videocard is ready. After moving all the waterblocks to the new motherboard, first quick test :

Ok, now I can add all the waterblock...
Boring task... So boring....
At this time, I stop here, some comments?

I'm with you on the "life catching up with you"! Good to see your stuff again. I've always loved the Dark Blade rig. Thanks for updating all of us!!
