Build is on a shuttle
hoping to move my gaming rig stuff into it as soon as i get a better mobo for it
P4 3.0 ht
1 gig ram
ati 9600xt
200gig
+80gig storage

Of all the things you could engrave into it, why THAT? Ugh.

um well my case is a black case and so are the fatal1tys and im putting red fans in it also so i thought what the heck and i wanted to call it fatal p4 but fatality looked better lol

thanks its my first engraving im uploading new pic i went back and tried to smooth up my work.

Planned is a powdercoated hard drive, powder coated dvd rom drive , possibly powdercoated frame
also i will be using allen bolts to hold the plexi glass windows in so it looks a little but urban and
i might get some mnpctech.com billet case handles (if he orders a new set to be machined)
the plexi will have some dark window tent on it.
 
nice craftmanship, terrible idea. I'd have stuck with Fatal P4 btw. I have a black case, with Red fans and stuff, but i would never associate myself with that twonk of a sellout named Jonathon 'I'm so up myself' wendell. rant over
 
I would think powder coating the hard drive and dvd rom drive would kill both of them. Doesn't a powder coat need to be baked on?

i think so, maybe there a new way for PC parts, though i have never heard of it
 
Heat isn't the only worry with powder coating. The only thing that holds the powder on before baking is large amounts of static electricty that flows directly through the part. There is no way a assembled hard drive would up to that and baking at 250-300* f.

Well taking apart a hard drive isnt exactly a good idea. And your wrong, metal isn't the only thing that can be powder coated. Wood, glass, some plastics, etc.. anything that can take the heat of baking can be powder coated.
 
My opinions on the man Fatal1ty aside, this case should look pretty sweet when done. Keep it up.

i think you should sand down the entire case and repaint it or at least make make the silver areas black where you cut the windows out.
 
One thing you may want to consider is the proximity of those bolts on the bottom of the side window to the lip of the Shuttle chassis. It may not fit without doing a bit of cutting as the ends of the bolts will jut out too far. I ran into this problem on my Shuttle and I was using rivets on the window (flat) not socket cap bolts.
 
If you actually play any games, or go to lans, I would of found it much more impressive if you etched your gamer name into the case.

But thats me, anyway it's starting to look pretty impressive.
 
i talkedwith him on aim and he told me that hes looking to replace the tint with a lighter version. so get ready for another update :)
 
007 - i noticed that as i was drilling i will be cutting the bottom lip on the shuttle to fix the prolly..

shlomo - I will be engraving my gaming tag onto it just havnt got there yet

alcap- right i will be redoing the windows..

Metals are not the only thing that can be powdercoated. You can powdercoat MDF, plastics, anything that can withstand the baking temperature really. Electrostatic powdercoating is the most common method, but it is not the only powder coating method.
